1. Introduction and Agreement

Welcome to Ceylon Mystery Tours. These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Ceylon Mystery Tours we and you By booking a tour package, airport transfer, or islandwide transport service with us, you explicitly agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.

2. Booking, Reservations, and Payments

• Booking Confirmation: A booking is considered secure only after the Company receives the requested deposit or full payment (depending on the package) and issues a formal written confirmation.
• Payment Terms: For multi-day customized tour packages, a deposit must be paid at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be cleared prior to the commencement of the tour or on day one of arrival, as mutually agreed upon in writing.
• Currency: All quotes are provided in US Dollars (USD) or Euros (EUR) unless specified otherwise. Payments must be processed through our authorized secure payment channels.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

We understand that plans can change. However, because we secure vehicles, drivers, and accommodation logistics in advance, the following standard cancellation policies apply:

• Cancellation by the Client:
  • Cancellations made 30 days or more prior to the tour start date: Full refund minus any non-refundable third-party booking fees (e.g., specific luxury hotel deposits, train tickets).
  • Cancellations made between 14 and 29 days prior: 50% of the total tour cost is refundable.
  • Cancellations made less than 14 days prior or “no-shows”: Non-refundable.
• Cancellation by the Company: In the rare event that we must cancel a tour due to unforeseen operational constraints, you will receive a 100% refund of all funds paid directly to Ceylon Mystery Tours.

4. Itinerary Alterations and Flexibility

• Client Requests: We pride ourselves on flexible tour planning. If you wish to amend your itinerary during the trip, we will make every effort to accommodate changes. Any additional expenses incurred (extra mileage, upgraded entry tickets, or peak-season lodging changes) will be billed to the client.
• Force Majeure: Ceylon Mystery Tours reserves the right to alter routes, timing, or activities without prior notice due to unpredictable circumstances such as extreme weather, roadblocks, sudden site closures, or government regulations. In these instances, alternative arrangements of equal value will be provided.

5. Islandwide Transport and Airport Transfers

• Vehicle Capacity and Luggage: It is the client’s responsibility to accurately declare the number of passengers and luggage pieces during the booking process. We ensure all vehicles are fully licensed, air-conditioned, and maintained to international safety standards.
• Punctuality: For airport transfers, clients must provide accurate flight details. We track flights for delays, but any major flight rescheduling must be communicated to your assigned tour guide or coordinator as soon as possible.
• Passenger Conduct: We reserve the right to terminate transport services immediately if any passenger engages in illegal behavior, causes damage to the vehicle, or poses a safety risk to the driver or guide.

6. Limitation of Liability and Travel Insurance

• Independent Suppliers: While Ceylon Mystery Tours coordinates with top-tier hotels, wildlife safaris, and activity providers, these entities operate independently. We cannot be held liable for injuries, losses, damages, or delays caused by third-party providers.
• Personal Belongings: Luggage and personal items remain the sole responsibility of the traveler at all times. We are not liable for items left behind in vehicles, though we will always make an honest, dedicated effort to retrieve and return lost property.
• Mandatory Insurance: It is a strict requirement that all guests secure comprehensive international travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and personal loss before arriving in Sri Lanka.

7. Intellectual Property and Digital Content

All content hosted on our official website, including itineraries, brand text, logos, graphics, and unique tour concepts, is the exclusive intellectual property of Ceylon Mystery Tours. Unauthorized reproduction, copying, or commercial use of our proprietary itineraries is strictly prohibited.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any legal disputes arising directly out of services provided by the Company shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local courts of Sri Lanka.
